The ground suggests a sense of place and stability, a fixed space in physical existence, a means that produces identity and belonging: the me and the you, the here and the there. A paradigm of orientation, situating concepts of subject and object, of time and space. Accessible through aerial views, looking from up to down, the ground seems to become clear and stable, and this is also the position of how ground can become accessible for architecture. The ground demarcates borders, regions, and nations, which is mediated via maps: ‘’Maps draw up associations of home and abroad, the known and the unknown, belonging and longing.’’

‘‘Images (…) invade cities, transforming spaces into sites, and reality into realty. They materialize as junkspace, military invasion, and botched plastic surgery. They spread through and beyond networks, they contract and expand, they stall and stumble, they vie, they vile, they wow and woo.’’ - Hito Steyerl

“If you are happy in a dream, Ammu, does that count?’’ Estha asked. “Does what count?” “The happiness does it count?”. She knew exactly what he meant, her son with his spoiled puff. Because the truth is, that only what counts, counts.....”If you eat fish in a dream, does it count?” Does it mean you’ve eaten fish?”
